About Gili Gede
Gili Gede is the largest island in the Sekotong archipelago, located off the southwest coast of Lombok. Known for its stunning blue coral reefs, this island offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and tranquility. Unlike the more famous northern Gilis (Trawangan, Meno, and Air), Gili Gede maintains a peaceful, undeveloped atmosphere.
The island features beautiful white sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and lush coconut groves. Its most distinctive feature is the spectacular blue coral reef that surrounds parts of the island, offering some of the best snorkeling in the region with abundant marine life including colorful fish and sea turtles.
With a small local population and limited tourist facilities, Gili Gede provides an authentic island experience away from crowds. Visitors can enjoy the slow pace of island life while exploring its natural wonders.
