The Islamic Center Mataram is Lombok's most magnificent mosque complex and a stunning example of Islamic architecture. Dominating Mataram's skyline with its towering minarets and massive central dome, this religious and cultural landmark is one of the most impressive in Indonesia.

Completed in 2006, the complex spans over 7 hectares and features the largest mosque in Lombok with a capacity for 15,000 worshippers. The architecture blends Middle Eastern influences with local Sasak elements, creating a unique aesthetic that represents Lombok's Islamic identity.

Beyond its religious function, the Islamic Center serves as an educational and cultural hub, hosting events and activities that promote Islamic values and traditions. Visitors are welcome to explore the grounds outside of prayer times, admiring the intricate details and peaceful atmosphere.

  • Friday prayers (12:30-2:00 PM) are especially busy

Visitor Etiquette
